Notion notes by voice
Say the idea before it slips away, and DanDin writes it on your page, with a spoken list as numbered items.
Yes, you can voice type in Notion, in its Mac and Windows apps or in the browser. Click on an empty line on the page, hold the start key and talk: your words appear as tidy text, and a list you count out loud comes out one numbered item per line. It suits notes after a meeting, project ideas and long drafts. DanDin types what you say, so it is not a meeting recorder.

Common questions
How do I voice type in Notion?
Click on an empty line on the page, hold the start key (Fn on a Mac, Ctrl + Win on Windows), talk, and let go. Your words are typed at the cursor.
Does it work in Notion on Windows?
Yes, in the Notion app for Windows 10 and 11 and in the browser, with Ctrl + Win. Settings also offers the right Alt or right Ctrl key.
Can I dictate into a table or database?
Yes. Click into the cell you want so the cursor blinks there, then talk. Each dictation goes into the cell with the cursor.
Will it summarize my meeting?
No. DanDin types and tidies what you say, and does not listen to the meeting. Say your notes after it, and it writes them as points.
Does it open Notion’s / commands?
No. DanDin pastes plain text, so it does not open Notion’s menus. Type / yourself to make a heading or a to-do list, then go back to dictating.
