Sawti writes your Arabic as Arabic or English, DanDin is free every week
Two Arabic-first apps for Mac and Windows. They differ in what comes out of your speech, in the free plan, and on the phone.
In short
If you want to speak Arabic and see Arabic, and speak English and see English, DanDin fits you better. If you want to speak Arabic and get English, that is what Sawti is built for: its own page says it is for people who "think in Arabic but have to use English tools", and that you get "Arabic or English, from Arabic speech". DanDin has a Translate to English switch too, but it is a choice you turn on when you want it. The second difference is price: Sawti has no free plan, only a free week with about half an hour of speaking, then plans from 5.99 dollars a month. DanDin is free for 2,000 words every 7 days, with no end date. The third is the phone: Sawti has a keyboard for iPhone and Android, and DanDin has no phone app. DanDin is our product. Every Sawti fact here comes from its own pages, read on 8 October 2026, and we have not used it.

Pick DanDin if
- You want a free plan that stays, not one week
- You pay and want no limit, not counted hours
- You talk for a long time: up to 30 minutes in one dictation
Sawti may fit you if
- You speak Arabic and want English text every time
- You want a voice keyboard on iPhone or Android
- You want the cheapest monthly plan, or you want your voice never kept
Both apps are built for Arabic. Sawti builds a bridge from Arabic to English. DanDin writes Arabic as Arabic, and keeps translation as a switch for when you need it.
Common questions
Is Sawti free?
It has no lasting free plan. Its page names a free week with about half an hour of speaking, then Basic at 5.99 dollars a month or Pro at 9.99. DanDin is free for 2,000 words every 7 days, with no end date.
Can DanDin turn my Arabic speech into English like Sawti?
Yes. The DanDin pill menu has a Translate to English switch. Turn it on, speak Arabic, and the text is written in English. It goes back off each time the app restarts, because DanDin by default writes what you said in its own language.
Which one is cheaper?
If you pay, Sawti is cheaper: 5.99 or 9.99 dollars a month, against 16.99 for DanDin Pro. But Sawti plans cap at about 3 or 6 hours of speaking a month, and DanDin Pro has no limit. If you will not pay, DanDin is the only one of the two with a lasting free plan.
Does Sawti work on a phone?
Yes, by its own pages: Android 9 or newer and iOS 26.4 or newer, as a keyboard you add once. DanDin has no phone app today.
