DanDin
DanDin for Lovable

Build in Lovable by talking

Say your app idea as it comes, and DanDin types it into the Lovable box. You can speak Arabic and send the prompt in English.

Yes, you can write to Lovable by voice in Arabic, in your browser on Mac and Windows. Click in the Lovable box, hold the start key, describe your idea, and let go: your prompt is typed into the box, and you send it. Lovable has its own dictation in the prompt box, and it removes filler words too. The table below shows what DanDin adds: Arabic and English in one sentence, an English prompt from your Arabic speech, and the same key in all your apps.

How to voice type in Lovable

On a Mac

  1. Open lovable.dev in Safari or Chrome, and go into your project or start from the home page.
  2. Click in the typing box so the cursor blinks there.
  3. If your idea is long and you want it in order, pick "What I meant" in Dictation options. If you want it in English, turn on Translate to English.
  4. Hold Fn and describe the app: the pages, the buttons, and what happens when someone taps them. Then let go.
  5. Read the prompt, then send it to Lovable.

On Windows

  1. Open lovable.dev in Chrome or Edge.
  2. Put the cursor in the typing box.
  3. Hold Ctrl + Win and talk, then let go of both keys.
  4. Check the prompt before you send it. DanDin never presses Enter for you, so Lovable only starts building when you decide.

An example in Lovable

A booking page idea for Lovable, with "What I meant" on

You say

ok so I want a booking page like with name and phone no wait and email too and the customer picks the day and time and after booking they get a confirmation email I mean a text not an email

DanDin types

I need a booking page that collects the customer's name, phone number, and email address. The page should allow users to select a date and time for their appointment. Once the booking is complete, the system should send a confirmation via text message.

"I mean a text" swapped the email for a text message, and "ok so", "like" and "no wait" are gone, leaving three plain sentences Lovable can build from. This is DanDin’s real output, made with Cursor as the app in front.

Lovable’s dictation or DanDin?

Lovable has two voice tools: dictation in the prompt box, and a voice conversation in Chats where it answers out loud. Here is what Lovable’s own pages say about them, next to what DanDin does:

DanDinVoice in Lovable
Where dictation worksThe Lovable box and every other app, with one keyThe Lovable prompt box: the microphone, or Option+V on Mac and Alt+V on Windows [1]
Tidying your wordsRemoves filler words, keeps your final version when you correct yourself, and "What I meant" writes the idea you meantRemoves filler words and cleans up the text [1]

ArabicArabic and English, even in one sentenceThe voice pages we read give no list of languages [2]
Talking out loudDanDin does not talk back; it writes your words as textIn Chats: it listens and answers aloud, up to 4 hours a day [3]

If you only write to Lovable and its dictation is enough for you, it is right there in the box with nothing else to install. If you want to explain in Arabic with English mixed in, turn your idea into an English prompt, or use the same key in Lovable and your other apps, DanDin is built for that.

Where these facts come from

Every cell in the second column is taken from that company’s own page. Here is the text as we read it, the link, and the day we read it.

  1. [1] Lovable: Work with Lovable in the project chat, the prompt box (the microphone)

Click it to start recording, or press Option+V (Mac) or Alt+V (Windows/Linux). When you finish, click the check, and Lovable transcribes your words into the prompt box for you to review and send, removing filler words and cleaning up the text as it goes.

  2. [2] Lovable: Chats (the word Arabic is not on it, nor on the project chat page)

Lovable transcribes your speech into the prompt box so you can review and edit before sending.

  3. [3] The same page, voice conversations and limits

Lovable listens and answers aloud. ... Each person can use up to 4 hours of voice per day, and the limit resets at 00:00 UTC.

Good to know in Lovable

  • DanDin writes the prompt, and Lovable builds the app.
  • For Arabic speech, the instruction style does not switch on in Lovable, so your words are written tidy as usual. For a sharper idea, pick "What I meant".
  • If Lovable’s own dictation is recording, stop it before you use DanDin, so the words are not typed twice.
  • It needs the internet. If the connection drops while you talk, the recording stays on your computer, and Retry sends it again.
  • There is no DanDin phone app, so Lovable by voice is on your computer only.

Common questions

Does Lovable understand Arabic speech?

Lovable has dictation in the prompt box that removes filler words, but the pages we read on 19 October 2026 give no list of languages and do not mention Arabic. DanDin is built for Arabic first, and writes your words into the Lovable box as text.

How do I build an app in Lovable by voice?

Click in the Lovable box, hold the start key (Fn on a Mac, Ctrl + Win on Windows), describe the app you want, and let go. Your prompt is typed into the box, you press send, and Lovable builds.

Can I explain in Arabic and have Lovable get English?

Yes. Move your pointer over the small DanDin pill, click the gear, and turn on Translate to English. You explain your idea in Arabic, and it lands in the Lovable box in English.

What is "What I meant"?

A mode in Dictation options for long ideas: you talk freely and correct yourself, and DanDin writes the idea you meant, in order, like the list of fields in the example above.
